Imphal, May 07 2015 :
The allegations levelled by a few individuals against the UKLF in some local newspapers on Wednesday allegingly intimidating and serving threatening letters against 'free movement' by these individuals were cock-and-bull-stories trying to tarnish the image of the organisation, according to a statement by general secretary of the outfit, David Haokip.
"So far, we have not served any threatening letters to such individuals.
Their press statement shows that their intention rather aims at inciting the Government agencies to turn against UKLF, which is very unfortunate.
Till date, all we have done and said are for the good of the area and the people," David Haokip claimed.
Haokip insisted that the outfit is only supporting the public and their resolution which has to be abided by all.
Haokip dubbed the allegations against the outfit 'a narrow design' for turning the whole thing upside down.
He said such moves will not bear fruit for such individuals.
