Umanglai Kanba Lup, International Peace and Advancement (IPSA), All Manipur Muslim Students Organisation and Committee on Human Rights have expressed concern over not providing any assistance to the injured persons of Laithouching incident by the Government.
Speaking at a press conference, spokespersons of these civil society organisations strongly condemned the act of targeting innocent people, who were performing important traditional rituals.
They also shared the grief of the family of the man, who was killed in the incident and injured persons.
Maintaining that Manipur has become like a lawless State, the spokespersons demanded the Government to punish the culprits at the earliest.
They said that befitting tributes and honours would be offered to the man, who was killed in the incident of Laithouching, at UKAL office, Palace compound and Kakching Lamkhai.
