Medical camp conducted at Chamu village

Imphal, June 21 2022:
Shangshak Battalion of IGAR (S) conducted a medical camp at Chamu village in Kamjong district on Monday to provide basic medical checkup, first aid and essential medicines to local populace including children.
Medical team from Assam Rifles carried out health checkup of 134 adults and 37 children.
Meanwhile, Khuga Battalion of IGAR (S) extended life-saving medical assistance to a snake bite victim of Ngoiphai village in Churachandpur district on Monday.
A 36-year old person from Ngoiphai village was bitten by a venomous snake and was having symptoms of swollen hand, mild fever, vomiting and headache since the time of bite.
The person was taken by villagers to the Assam Rifles Medical Hospital at Khuga where he was rendered lifesaving medical care and anti-venom by the medical officer thereby stabilising his condition.
The person was kept under observation at the Assam Rifles Hospital.
Later he was referred to District Hospital, Churachandpur for further medication, informed PRO IGAR (S) in a release.
