SHRI adds bone & joint treatment facility

Imphal, August 20 2022: Informing that Shija Hospitals and Research Institute (SHRI) now has treatment facility for bone and joint diseases, managing director cum chairman of the hospital Dr Kh Palin said that people of the state can now avail affordable treatment of medical conditions of knee joint and shoulder joints at the hospital.

Addressing a press conference at SHRI auditorium on Saturday, Dr Palin said that the hospital is offering the treatment facility in association with Medica Superspecialty Hospital, Kolkata.

There will be subsidised rate on treatment and will have no surgery cost, he said.

The two hospitals had also tied up for providing orthopaedic treatment in the past, he added.

Medica Superspecialty Hospital vice-chairman Dr Vikash Kapoor, who also attended the press conference, said that the hospital had conducted successful surgeries on knee and shoulder, most of which are caused by sports injuries, in different states including Manipur.

Many of such surgeries can be conducted through laparoscopic method.

The hospital is looking forward to conduct medical camps in the related field as well as to continue the relationship with Shija Hospital in other fields, he added.
