It is utterly impossible to end corruption in the state after having spent large sum of money to win the elections, CPI Manipur State Council secretary L Sotinkumar has remarked during a conference of Lamsang Local CPI held at Tendonyang village under Lamsang AC on Thursday.
Sotinkumar said that BJP government cannot fulfil its numerous promises to the people specially the pledge to end corruption in the state, considering it spent crores of rupees to win the elections.
It is inevitable that there will be desire to recoup more than the amount spent during the polls, he stated, while commenting that most profitable business has always been the elections.
Meanwhile, the BJP government has been unable to properly protect the border, which is highly condemnable.
The NDA-government seems to selling off Manipur's land to Myanmar.
In addition, the rising prices of essential items have been causing significant distress to the people.
As such, it would not be long for the government to fall, he said, while conveying that CPI is preparing to launch different movements in this regard.
The conference was also attended by CPI Manipur State Council state secretariat member Sorojini Devi, All Manipur Nupi Marup secretary Sumat ibala and state executive member Memsana, Imphal West District secretary Th Meghachandra and state executive member Th Suresh, among others.
Keirao CPI Local also or ganised a similar conference at Thiyam Khul, Keirao on Thursday.
