Jupiter wins 2 gold medals, Asish clinches 3rd gold in 11th IW Shooting Competition

Jupiter Ashem grabbed two gold medals while K Asish Sharma won his third gold in the 11th Imphal West District Shooting Competition 2022 on Friday.
Jupiter Asheim emerged as the day's most successful shooter by claiming top podium honour in both 25m sports pistol championship junior men's individual and 25m standard pistol championship junior men's individual events.
Jupiter scored 231 points in the sports pistol contest and he amassed 202 in the standard pistol event.
K Asish Shanna claimed his yellow metal, his third gold, in the .22 free rifle 3P men's individual event with 525 points.
Naorem Khandajit topped the 25m standard pistol championship men's individual competition with a score of 252 out of 300 while Sagolshem Rajesh Singh bagged the silver medal with 217 points and L Sanayaima Singh took the bronze with 216 points.
On the other hand, Takhellambam Shilpa won the gold medal in the 25m pistol women's individual event.
She scored 233 points of 300 to win the contest.
Shijagurumayum Sarda Devi came a distant second with 205 points and Salam Premila Chanu managed 129 points to finish third.
In men's 25m licensed pis-tol/revolver event, Laihrakpam Rajesh Singh clinched the title with 55 points as A Basanta Sharma finished behind with 53 points and N Sunny Singh (49 pts) claimed the third place.
Swami Kumar Leishangthem walked away with the gold medal of the .22 open sight 3P men's event.
He scored 399 points.
Debika Leishangthem, meanwhile, won the 10m .177 peep sight air rifle sub-youth women event with a score of 322 while Ronika N bagged the silver medal with 272 points.
Keisham Krish Mangang was the top finisher in the 10m air pistol sub-youth men's event after securing 311 points.
Konjengbam Davidson sealed the second spot with 289 points and Thoudam Roneljit claimed the bronze medal with 259 points.
Aziza Mumataz emerged the victor in the 10m air pistol sub-youth women's competition by gamering 292 points as Khangembam Chitra finished second with 253 points.
