RPF condoles demise of six of its cadres

The proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has conveyed deep condolence over the untimely demise of six of its cadres on August 9 last.
According to a statement issued by thge assistant secretary of publicity of the outfit, the six cadres-major Boycha, real name Elangbam Birmani, s/o Elangbam Pishak of Kakching Turel Wangma Uyokching; lieutenant Suresh, real name Keisham Somen, s/o late Tomba Meitei of Tentha Marongban; corporal Angamba, real name Chabungbam Chaoba @ Kabijit, s/o Shyamchand of Yairipok Bishnunaha Mayai Leikai; corporal Lanthoujam, real name Thangjam Nanao, s/o Biren of Taret Khun; corporal Leimaba, real name Thokchom Johnson Meitei, s/o Chandrakumar of Khangabok Khullakpam Leikai and private Tomcha, real name Adhikarimaum Kiran Sharma, s/o late Krishna Sharma of Keilashor Unukuli, Tripura belonged to the strategic command-1, mobile battalion.
Alleging that they (the 6 cadres) were gunned down in a covert operation of Indian security force which was carried out in defiance of the United Nations conventional warfare framework, the RPF said that condolence meetings were held in all units, departments and stations of the outfit.
The proscribed group also extended condolence to the bereaved family members, relatives and friends of the slain cadres.
Major Boycha joined the outfit on July 26, 1996 and had worked as a deputy commander of SCOM-1 while Lt Suresh and Cpl Angamba joined the outfit on July 31, 1997 and September 20, 2015 respectively.
The dates of joining for Cpl Lanthouba, Cpl Leimaba and pte Tomcha to the outfit are July 15, 2015, June 14, 2016 and February 15, 2016 as per the statement of RPF.
