KSTC seize goods from vendors, distributes to Orphanage

Senapati, August 18 2021:
Officials of the Karong Senapati Town Committee (KSTC) along with Senapati Police had seized different commodities selling at unallotted places along the pedestrian footpath in Senapati bazaar.
The seized items included fish, snails, fruits, vegetables, etc from around 15 vendors.
Earlier in 2020, the office of Karong Senapati Town Committee (KSTC) had issued an official order totally prohibiting any sale of vegetables, fruits or other commodities on/beside the street, pedestrian footpath or pavement other than at allotted place" .
Later, the seized items were reportedly handed over to the orphanages operating in Senapati DHQs.
The KSTC further cautioned that such sales of goods at unallotted places would be checked strictly and the items would be seized without further, warning.
In this regard, the office of the KSTC urged one and all to kindly cooperate and avoid seizure of commodities on sale at such places.
Different allocations have reportedly been made by the KSTC for sale of such commodities.
