Mirabai inspects site for bailey bridge project

Imphal, August 18 2021:
Along with MSSRDA officials concerned, Patsoi MLA Ak Mirabai has inspected the proposed site of a bailey bridge to be constructed at Napremthong portion of the Nambul River which will connect Takyel Khongbal of Patsoi AC with Uripok AC.
Interacting with the public at the inspection site on Wednesday, Mirabai said that plans for taking up many development works have been delayed due to Covid-19 pandemic and the project of constructing the Bailey bridge is being taken up following improvement in Covid situation lately.
She appealed to the public for their support and cooperation in order to complete the project in time.
She then advised the officials concerned to execute the project under PMGSY at fast pace and complete the same within the stipulated time.
The Bailey bridge was recommended by the MLA and sanctioned following complaints of local residents over dilapidated condition of the existing wooden bridge which connects Takyel Khongbal Khumanthem Leikai and Naoremthong.
Mirabai said that bridges along the river in areas like Iroishemba and Lamboi Khongnangkhong are also in poor shape and efforts, are being made to improve their conditions.
The Moirangthong at Lamboi Khongnangkhong area will be upgraded into a RCC bridge and tender process for the same will be completed soon.
She also assured of taking up various development works in the remaining few months of her current term as MLA even though most of the term have been wasted due to Covid-19 pandemic.
She also called for public support in bringing more development in the constituency.
