Six cadres slain in covert ops by Indian Army: RPF

While admitting loss of six cadres of its armed wing People's Liberation Army (PLA) during a covert operation by Indian army on August 9 midnight, the proscribed People Revolutionary Front (RPF) has said that all its units, departments and stations observed condolence meets and offered revolutionary salute to the six cadres who sacrificed their lives for the motherland.
According to a RPF statement issued by its assistant secretary of publicity Bankim, all the six PLA cadres belonging to mobile battalion of Strategic Command-1 were killed when Indian security force launched a covert operation against the norms of UN conventional warfare on August 9 at about 1.15am .
Using reactionaries, the enemy launched the attack from three sides in which the six brave PLA cadres were killed, the RPF statement claimed' and shared the pain and sorrow of the bereaved families of the slain PLA cadres.
The deceased cadres were MC-157 Major Boycha (real name Elangbam Birmani), son of Elangbam Pishak and Kunjabati of Kakching Turel Wangma Uyokching; MC-382 2/Lt Suresh (Keisham Somen), son of late Keisham Tomba Meitei and Tombirei of Tentha Marongban; A-3277 Cpl Angamba (Chabungbam Chaoba alias Kabijit), son of Chabungbam Shyamchand and Premi of Yairipok Bishnunaha Mayai Leikai; A-3271 Cpl Lanthouba (Thangjam Nanao), son of Thangjam Biren and Achoubi Leima of Taret Khun; A-3294 Cpl Leimaba (Thokchom Johnson Meitei), son of Thokchom Chandrakumar and late Anita of Khangabok Khullakpam Leikai and A-3287 Pte Tomcha (Adhikarimayum Kiran Sharma), son of late Adhikarimayum Krishna Sharma and late Dhanapati of Keilashor Unukuli, Tripura, the RPF statement informed.
According to the statement, Major Boycha joined the outfit on July 20, 1996 and completed basic military training on October 22, 1997 .
He was then deputed to Signal department of 252 M/Bn, GHQ and other units.
He was the deputy commander of SCOM-1 till his last breath.
Lt Suresh joined RPF on July 31,2007 completed Basic Military Training on October 18, 2007 and allotted Army No.A-2946 by War Office.
He shouldered responsibility of the outfit by working at 252 M/Bn GHQ and SCOM-1 .
He successfully completed all the tasks assigned to him till his last breath.
Cpl Angamba, who joined RPF on September 20, 2015, completed PLA's basic military training on May 17, 2016 and was allotted Army No A-3277 by War Office.
He served the outfit at GHQ, JFF of CorCom and then at SCOM-1 till his last breath, the statement continued.
It also informed that Cpl Lanthouba joined the outfit on July 15, 2015 and completed basic military training on November 8, 2015 .
He was allotted Army No A-3271 by War Office and served at SCOM-1 till his last breath, the RPF added.
It further said that Cpl Leimaba joined RPF on June 14, 2016 and completed basic military training on December 25, 2016 and allotted Army No A-3294 by War Office.
He was working as the assistant supervisor of signal at SCOM-1 till the time of his death.
Pte Tomcha joined the outfit on February 15, 2016 and completed PLA's basic military training on May 17, 2016 and allotted Army No A-3287 by War Office.
He was at SCOM-1 since completion of training and successfully performed tasks assigned to him by the outfit, the RPF statement said.
It also conveyed that all the deceased cadres were calm, sincere and disciplined revolutionaries and loved their motherland and party more than anything.
They also had resolute courage and wanted to live independently.
