Imphal, October 02 2013:
Terming Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's open disagreement with the Union Cabinet's decision to protect convicted MLAs/MPs as yet another testimony that the Congress party is a 'dynastic institution', Manipur Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party also charged the Gandhi scion of being arrogant for not tendering an apology to the Prime Minister, whom he met today.
speaking to newspersons at the Nityaipat Chuthek office of the State BJP unit today, party's Publicity and Propaganda in-charge M Ashwinikumar also questioned whether Rahul Gandhi is above the Prime Minister 'of our country ? .
Rahul Gandhi dismissing as 'complete nonsense' the Union Cabinet decision to protect convicted legislators against the wisdom of the Supreme Court, clearly shows that the Congress party is a 'dynastic institution' where the Gandhi family is the owner of the institute and regards the family above the Parliament and the Council of Ministers of the country, observed the BJP functionary.
having become a dynastic institution, never accepting the established democratic system of the country, the Congress party is always focused on over-ruling decisions of the parliamentary and the judiciary institutions, Ashwinikumar insisted further asserting that for the Congress party the Gandhi family is above everything else.
Voicing opposition against the Congress party's initiative to protect convicted lawmakers, he conveyed that BJP firmly believes in value-based politics with full faith and respect to the established system of Indian Constitution and constitutional authorities and institutions.
Exhorting the masses to check the Congress-led UPA Government from further ruining the country, the publicity in-charge called upon the people of Manipur for active participation in ringing change to the present political system in the country as well as in the State.
Citing alleged high corruption, visionless policies and lack of competent leadership of the Congress party as some vital factors for the BJP all set to return to power at the centre, he also exuded confidence that under the leadership of Narendra Modi BJP will defeat the Congress party in the 2014 parliamentary elections.
On the national Food Security Act, Ashwinikumar pointed out that the BJP unit's earlier declaration that the Act would not be implemented in time in Manipur has been justified and confirmed with the Congress Government deciding to postpone the Act's implementation some more months.
The postponement on the ground of lack of administrative will, unfavourable transport and communication systems, lack of storage infrastructure and highly controversial beneficiary selection process only confirms BJP's apprehension that the Congress Government would eventually fail to justify its existence.
Challenging the Congress Government to fully implement the Act, as had been declared, within January 2014 to prove that the BJP's concern is misplaced, Ashwinikumar opined that gripped with governance inefficiency, fund paucity and rampant misappropriation of public fund by the present State Government the Act not able to serve its noble purpose cannot be ruled out.
