CCpur police recovers Opium, nabs one

Churachandpur, January 13 2022:
Acting on information that contraband opium are being kept concealed inside a house located in New Boljang village of Churachandpur district, a large team of Churachandpur police including women personnel identified the location and recovered substances suspected to be opium weighing 2.1 kg in total.
The police team under the supervision of OC Ccpur PS and overall supervision of ASP Ops and SP Churachandpur conducted search in and around the house of Ngamkhojang Haokip alias Angam (65) son of late Hemkholun Haokip of New Boljang village.
During the search, some items suspected to be Opium (wet) concealed inside a lady bag were found.
During further search, one Everyday salt packet containing substances suspected to be opium weighing around 495 gm including the weight of the container was found.
One Everyday milk powder packet containing substances suspected to be Opium weighing around 208 gm including weight of the container was also detected.
The police team also found 44 numbers of Golden Khaini boxes containing substanees suspected to be Opium in different weights and found a total weight of 1397 gm including weight of the containers.
The total weight of all containers found was found to be 2.1 kg.
The recovered items were packed and sealed after proper weighing and handed over to Ccpur police station along With the nabbed person.
A regular case under FIR No 4(1)2022 CCP - PS U/S18 (a) has been registered, for investigation against the accused person.
