Gaan-Ngai wishes

United Committee Manipur (UCM) has extended its wishes to the people with the arrival of one of the biggest festivals of the Kabui community of the State, Gaan-Ngai, which falls on January 15 .
UCM expressed hope for the different ethnic groups of the State to come together with strengthened bonds of brotherhood with the coming of this festival.
UCM stated that as Gaan-Ngai is celebrated across the State by people of various ethnicities, it strengthens the emotional integrity of the people.
Stating that Gaan-Ngai is the biggest festival of the Zeliangrong community, president Zeliangrong Union (AMN) Azang Rongmei sent his wishes to all the people of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland.
ZU informed that Gaan-Ngai is celebrated by Zeme, Liangrong, Rongmei, Kabui and Inpui communities after the completion of the harvest of the year along with a prayer for peace, unity and prosperity to everyone.
Former Deputy CM Gaikhangam Gangmei also joined in conveying Gaan-Ngai greetings and wished that the 5-day post harvest celebration will usher in peace and harmony in the State.
