NHIDCL office bomb attack condemned

Senapati, January 13 2022:
Naga People's Organisation (NPO) and Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) have strongly condemned the hurling of bombs at the office of NHIDCL situated at Zaikarii Christian Colony, about 1 km away from Senapati Police Station.
Some unknown miscreants hurled two Chinese hand grenades in front of the office of NHIDCL on January 12 around 8:30 pm.
State Bomb Detection & Disposal Squad and Senapati Police Station retrieved the bombs early Thursday morning and disposed of the bombs around 6:30 am .
An FIR has been registered at the Senapat Police Station for further investigation.
In a statement, Information & Publicity Wing of NPO, Senapati condemned the bomb attack at the office of National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL), Senapati.
Terming the attack as dastardly, ill-informed and lethargic bug in the society, NPO said violence has no place in civilized society.
The incident has come as a shock to the entire district against the backdrop of NPO declaring Senapati district as a "Peace Zone." The apex Naga organisation further said that it will not tolerate the perpetrators who disturbed peace in the district.
NPO also demanded immediate claim of responsibility for the treacherous act.
The citizens shall deal with iron hand the perpetrators' intent to compromise developmental works for petty personal interest, the statement said.
NPO also urged law and order enforcers to investigate the incident and book the culprit at the earliest and urged all right-thinking citizens of the district to condemn the act.
On the other hand, SDSA strongly condemned the incident, saying that it out rightly denunciated the barbaric attempt to create fear amongst the people and termed it as an "act of terrorism against people's interest." Such vicious act to compromise the ongoing developmental works for personal interest is publicly denounced and consider it as a challenge to the peace-loving citizens of Senapati and especially the student community, SDSA said urged the authorities concerned to seriously look into the matter and book the perpetrators and take necessary action to avoid such incident in future.
