State likely to experience rainfall, thunderstorm

Imphal, March 28 2022:
The Manipur State Disaster Management Authority (MSDMA) under Relief and Disaster Management department in coordination with Regional Meteorological Centre, Guwahati has predicted of moderate rainfall all over the state from March 28-31 .
A release by Relief and Disaster Management director KC Daigong has informed that the weather will be partly cloudy with light rainfall in the coming days.
However thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty wind of 30-50 kmph is very likely to occur in certain pockets of Imphal West, Imphal East, Chandel, Senapati, Tamenglong, Jiribam, Noney, Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts during this period.
It has also predicted that the minimum and maximum temperature of the state will vary from 14 to 32 degree Celsius.
The release by the director also urged the general public to exercise caution to avoid any eventualities during this period.
MSMDA has also advised all DDMAs and other line departments to be on high alert and attend to any emergencies caused by natural calamities as per SOPs to save lives and properties in the upcoming monsoon season.
