Agocons Agrotech Industries Private Limited, which produces feeds for poultry, fish and pigs under the brand name Sangai, organised a dealers' get together meet at Hotel Classic Grande here on Monday.
Retired superintending engineer of electricity department Potsangbam Jadumani, Central Agricultural University extension education director professor Ph Ranjit and Agocons Agrotech Industries Private Limited managing director Tourangbam Kunje attended the event,as the presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Kunje informed that the meet is an annual celebration of the company with the dealers after closing financial accounts for the year.
Among the products of the company, the poultry feed is a specialised feed produced while maintaining FCR 1.5 level and the price is also higher than other feeds available in the market.
Keeping in view of cheaper feeds, the company is all set to launch another poultry feed under the brand name of 'Nong-in', he revealed.
He further said that the state spends Rs 150-200 crore in a month in importing poultry, fish and pig feeds from other states.
The company was set up with the objective to reduce the dependency on others in terms of animal feeds and it has been able to replace 5 per cent of the imported feeds as of now.
The company is targeting to capture 10 to 15 per cent of the feed market of the state, he further revealed.
