Govt should set up art gallery of RKCS: MLA Ibomcha

The 91st birth anniversary of late Rajkumar Chandrajitsana, popularly known as RKCS in the field of painting, observed on Tuesday at RKSC Art Gallery, Keishamthong.
The function was attended by Keishamthong A/C MLA Laisom Ibomcha as chief guest, RMAC chairman RK Gopalsana as president and film critic RK Bidhur as guest of honour.
Speaking on the function, MLA Ibomcha said that RKCS's pictures carry great weight and depict a lot of meaning and represents the knowledge of the ancient history.
RKCS would have been a very famous artist around the world had he born in another state.
For his beautiful paintings, RKCS could have can win many awards if there was no careless from the side of the Government.
Manipur Government should set up an art gallery of RKCS, demanded Ibomcha.
RKCS Trust should also demand the Government for setting up a memorial complex and art gallery in the name of the noted artist, said Ibomcha.
To this end, Ibomcha promised every possible help from his side.
A painting competition participated by 160 students was also held during the function.
