In support of victims of torture

Imphal, June 25 2014:
In connection with United Nations International Day in Support of Victims of Torture which falls on June 26, Centre for Organisation Research & Education (CORE) and Human to Humane Transcultural Centre for Torture & Trauma (H2H) organised a 4-day long Care for Caregivers Training-cum-Workshop at Khangshim Village in Chandel District with the cooperation of Weaker Section Development Council (WSDC) and REACH-M.The programme which commenced on June 24 would continue till June 27 .
According to a statement issued by CORE, the programme, which has been designed for psychosocial counselors and caregivers working in conflict areas, is supported by European Commission's European Community Humanitarian Office (ECHO), ActionAid and the UN Voluntary Fund for Victims of Torture and Nishtha Agarwal, Psychologist and Dance and Movement Therapist, co-founder of Creative Movement Therapy Association of India based in New Delhi is the principal facilitator of this programme.
