Naga doctors conduct medical camp at Maram Khullen

All Naga Doctors' Forum, Manipur on Sunday conducted a one day free health camp at Maram Khullen in Senapati district.
During the camp, free lab testing, chest x-rays, eye testing and cervical cancer screenings were facilitated apart from a talk session on various health issues by subject experts and multidisciplinary medical examination and free distribution of medicines.
The medical camp organised in collaboration with Maram Battalion of Jwalamukhi Sector Assam Rifles was held under the supervision of 70 doctors and renowned specialists from various departments of RIMS, JNIMS, Shija Hospital.
The camp covered health issues related to Cardiology, Medicine, Surgery, Ortho, Eye, ENT, Gynaecology and Paediatric.
Briefing media persons, Forum president Dr Shyami Tarao commended the dedicated service rendered by the team of doctors to the villagers and stated that they came and attended the event on their own volition.
They also brought medicines for distribution to the villagers at free of cost, he said.
Doctors under the Forum have been visiting remote parts of the state that do not have proper health facilities and providing basic healthcare.
Maram Khullen village chief K Namba expressed his gratitude to the doctors for their concern for his people and also blessed that the doctors have long life and serve the people wherever people they go.
Pung, a villager who attended the camp also expressed joy as the villagers could not afford to buy medicines and avail such facilities at one's doorstep.
Around 700 patients were examined by the Naga doctors.
CMO Senapati and his team also supported the camp with provision of manpower and instruments/equipment.
