Litan Fire: Victor, Kikhonbow extend relief to victims

Parliamentary Secretary in-charge of Tribal Affairs and Hills Victor Keishingtoday today visited the affected families of fire incident and took stock of the situation at Litan where where a minor girl lost her life and 18 families were rendered homeless.
Accompanied by Vice Chairman of Hill Area Committee (HAC) and MLA of Tamei AC Kikhonbow Newmai, Joint Director of TRI Solomon Zingkhai and former MDC M.Ngaranmi among others, Victor visited the Litan fire incident site and met the affected families in the afternoon today.
The team also held meeting with village authorities and committee members supervising the relief camps.
While sharing the grief of the affected families, Victor assured the victims with necessary assistance to rebuild their houses and start their live anew.
He also brought relief materials including blankets, tarpolins, foodgrains, utensils for the affected families who are currently taking shelter at the relief camps opened at Veterinary Centre and the quarters of pastor of Litan Baptist Church.
Tamei MLA Kikonbou also donated money to the committee supervising the relief camps.
Later, the Parliamentary Secretary and the HAC Vice chairman visited to convey condolences to the bereaved family of Julia Vashum, a minor girl, who was charred to death on Tuesday night's inferno.
