While expressing heartfelt gratitude to MLAs, KNO/KNA Sinai camp, Ukhrul ADC Chairman and members, KBC Mission Department, ATSUM and to all who donated relief materials to the victims of the unfortunate inferno at Litan, the Kuki Inpi Ukhrul and Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) Ukhrul district have strongly decried the alleged indifferent attitude of the State Govt in this regard.
Kh Alund, President KSO Ukhrul district while speaking to a handful of media persons at the Litan relief camp, said that circle MLA Samuel Risom, Parl Secy Victor Keishing, MLA Pre-show Shimray and Chandel MLA Victor Nunglun, Ukhrul DC, SK Chaurasia, ADC Ukhrul Chairman, John Rahleng and many other have visited the victims and the incident site but till today the Govt has not deputed a single representative from their side.
He strongly demanded the setting up of a fire sub-station at Yaingangpokpi or at Litan so as to prevent major damage of such kinds in the future.
Alun also regretted that the minor girl could have been saved had there been a fire sub-station in the area.
The KSO and Kuki Inpi Ukhrul urged the Govt to compensate the victim at the earliest.
