Imphal, February 07 2014 :
Manipur People's Party (MPP) has expressed displeasure at the State Government for not disclosing the development of tripartite talks on Alternative Arrangement to the public.
Talking to media persons at MPP head-office here today, party's Spokesperson H Nabashyam said that the insincerity of Congress Government has aggravated the issues of the State.
Another round of tripartite talks involving the Centre, State Government and United Naga Council (UNC) on Alternative Arrangement (a demand for separate administration of the Naga-inhabited areas of the State) was held at Senapati District Headquarters yesterday, but the State Government did not reveal anything to the public.
The issue of Alternative Arrangement emerged after the failure of State Government to fulfill UNC's demand for rectification of rules and regulations of Autonomous District Council (ADC), he noted.
The Spokesperson also alleged that the Congress Government is active only in corruption and scams rather looking after the developmental needs of the people.
There would not have been any issue if the State Government takes up things at the right time keeping in view of the people's aspirations, Nabashyam added.
