Upbeat State BJP ready to roll out red carpet for Modi

BJP Manipur State unit is all ready to roll out the red carpet for the party's Prime Ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi who is scheduled to address a public rally at Langjing Achouba ground tomorrow.
Volunteers of BJP State unit have been developing and beautifying the ground since January 24.Now a big stage facing East has been constructed and the ground barricaded with bamboo poles.
With BJP flags flying around the ground and Modi's posters put up all around, the atmosphere around the ground is electrifying.
In order to avoid any untoward incident during the high profile visit of Narendra Modi, Imphal West Police have been keeping a strict vigil in the area.
Imphal West SI S Babuyaima who is assigned to monitor security situation around the ground said that they have been staying at the ground since January 30 at the instruction of SP K Jayenta in order to avert all untoward incidents.

All the people coming to the area are verified round the clock.
Taking serious note of the fact that the BJP leader is coming to Imphal amidst boycotts calls and bandh, police have taken up extra security measures, Babuyaima said.
Meanwhile, ex-MLA Sapam Kunjeshore has appealed to all concerned not to call any bandh or boycott Narendra Modi's visit.
He also appealed to all the people of Manipur to embark on a new path of development and progress by joining other people of India who have already decided to overhaul the existing system of governance.
Notably, TC leader Mamta Banerjee too addressed a public rally at Langjing Achouba ground in the run up to the 2012 Assembly election.
On the other hand, NSG and Gujarat Police teams who have already arrived at Imphal for Narendra's visit have put up security surveillance both on the ground and in the air.
Meanwhile, BJP State unit president has appealed to all the people to attend Narendra's public address without fear for foolproof security measures have been put into place.
A source said that Modi would be provided the same security as given to the Prime Minister.
Narendra Modi will arrive at Imphal at 10 am on a chartered flight tomorrow.
While some people have decided to boycott Narendra Modi's visit, URF has called a bandh tomorrow.
Whether Modi would go to Langjing Achouba ground by road or in a helicopter would be decided in accordance to his wish.
VIPs, party leaders, workers and general public may enter the meeting venue between 8.30 am and 9.30 am.
All the visitors would be escorted and assisted by 300 dedicated volunteers of BJP, Chaoba said.
A three-tier security ring would be thrown around the stage from where Narendra Modi would address the public meeting.
The State Government has taken up necessary measures to ensure that there is no power cut during the rally.
Before Narendra Modi takes the stage, seven persons who sought party's tickets for contesting the Lok Sabha election in Outer and Inner Manipur Parliamentary constituencies woule give chance to speak out their wishes and ambitions.
Ahead of Narendra Modi's arrival, BJP North East Campaign Committee member PB Acharya and General Secretary Tapir Gao arrived here today.
Narendra Modi would spare just 10 minutes for interaction with BJP State unit leaders after the meeting before flying to Guwahati.
