NCDC launches training for students, women in Ukhrul

National Child Development Council (NCDC), an organisation for child welfarebased in New Delhi, has launched online Paperless English Training (PET) and Teacher Training in Child Education for the first time in Ukhrul district.
Yaomichon Ragui, NCDC faculty-cum-admission co-ordinator, announced this during a news conference held on Tuesday at UDWJA office, Viewland in Ukhrul town.
She informed that PET is intended for high school and college students who struggle to speak English despite having studied English for many years.
She then said that, in addition to spoken English training, instruction on general knowledge and computer skills will be given to trainees, along with daily lessons and activities which will be shared directly with the learners via WhatsApp and live classes every Sunday from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
"The training module progressively teaches trainees to speak English through games and riddles without requiring them to understand grammar," she explained.
Ragui further stated that NCDC is launching another new online batch of teacher training courses in child education designed only for women.
"To be eligible for the training, an applicant must be qualified students from Class 10 to degree level," she said, adding that there are five courses available and they include: Certificate in International Preschool Education (1 year, qualification-10th pass), Certificate in International Montessori Education (1 year, qualification-10th pass), Diploma in International Montessori Education (1 year, qualification-12th pass), Post Graduate Diploma Courses (1 year, eligibility-any degree), and Advanced Diploma in International Montessori Education (1 year, qualification-TTC/ PPTTC).
