Training on fruit plants held

A two-day training programme for extension functionaries on "Vegetative Propagation Techniques of Citrus (Orange)" was held at ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra Churachandpur, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region on Monday under the patronage of ICAR-RC for NEH Region Manipur Centre joint director Dr I Meghachandra Singh.
The programme was organised with an objective of upgrading the skill and knowledge of participants with latest advancement on Propagation Techniques of fruit crops, said a release by Churachandpur ICAR-KVK head in-charge S Roma Devi.
She said the training programme was participated by 23 Extension Functionaries from district officers (Horticulture and Soil Conservation), Clover Organic Pvt Ltd (service provider under MOMA) project manager and Churachandpur Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA).
During the technical session, KVK-Churachandpur SMS (Horticulture) Ph Chandramani Singh delivered a lecture on topic "Vegetative Propagation Techniques of Citrus and other Horticultural crops".
A hands-on training was also organised on commercial propagation methods of Guava, Pomegranate and Rose demonstrated at KVK Farm, added the release.
