41st Uripok Local CPI conference held

CPI Uripok Local Council held its 41st conference at the Uripok Achom Leikai residence of Th Robindro on Sunday.
The conference was attended by party state seeretary L Sotinkumar, City District secretary S Yaima, Uripok Local veterans L Somorjit Sharma and S Manglem as presidium members.
As part of the conference, S Manglem hoisted the party flag and led the gathering in offering floral tributes to the portraits of departed leaders Th Khommei and N Iboyaima.
Later, discussions were held on a political and organisation draft report released by local secretary S Gopeshwar Sharma in booklet form.
On the occasion, Sotinkumar spoke about the chang ing global scenario, Indian government, state government and the wrongdoings of the said governments.
He stressed that communist party is the only political organisation which can bring huge positive changes, while accusing the government of bending to the capitalist economy and pushing for a Hindutva nation.
He then said that it is the duty of the party's workers to ensure the end of corrupt practices.
Later, a 17-member local council was also formed.
