Vigilance Awareness Week observed

Various battalions of Assam Rifles observed Vigilance Awareness Week by organising different activities in their respective area of operation.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that Khuga Battalion of IGAR (South) conducted a friendly volleyball match for local youth in Singhat village, Churachandpur district on Friday to mark the ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week.
To make the young generation aware about the importance and necessity of Vigilance Awareness Week, a friendly volleyball match was organised between the troops of 46 Assam Rifles and staff and students of Hill Model High School, Singhat.
The said match started with a short brief on vigilance issues and mitigating measures.
After an enthralling match, consolation prizes were presented to Hill Model High School team and special prizes were given to two emerging players of the team.
Meanwhile, 10 Sector AR organised 'Integrity Pledge on Vigilance Awareness Week' at Somsai Garrison on Saturday.
On the occasion, a pledge ceremony was held under the theme 'Independent India @76: Self Reliance with Integrity' which was participated by all the ranks, it added.
On the other hand, Churachandpur Battalion of IGAR (South) organised Vigilance Awareness Gram Sabha in Samulamlan village, Churachandpur district as part of Vigilance Awareness Week on Saturday.
The release stated that the Gram Sabha focussed on corruption, its effect on development of nation and measures to eradicate corruption from the grassroots level.
A total of 28 villagers participated in the event.
