Baudi condemns assault, molestation

The Zeliangrong Baudi, AMN has strongly condemned the physical assault on Rachubui Pame, President of Zeliangrong Students' Union Delhi and his colleagues at Tis Hazari Court, Delhi on May 23 allegedly by some local lawyers.
In a statement, the Baudi said it was indeed an act of racial attack and contempt of the law of the land.
Rachubui Pame hails from Tamenglong district, Manipur.
For the last 10 years, he has been working for the welfare of the Northeast people in general and Zeliangrong Nagas in particular.
The accused lawyers involved in this incident should be punished in a befitting manner and adequately compensate to the victims.
"We appeal to all the Northeast people living in Delhi and NCR to fight till justice is delivered," the Baudi said.
The Baudi also condemned molestation of a Northeast girl, a student of Delhi University on 23rd, May, 2014 by an outsider near the English Art faculty, Delhi University.
"We urge Okram Ibobi Singh, Chief Minister of Manipur, TR Zeliang, Chief Minister of Nagaland and other Chief Ministers of Northeast states, to take up the case seriously so that justice is delivered to the victims at the earliest, and such racial attacks do not occur in the future.
So that good relations, mutual trust and understanding between the locals and people from North East India prevail," it stated.
