IT editor critically injured in mishap

Imphal, May 27 2014:
Khumukcham Rinku, editor of Imphal Times, an English everniner published from Imphal, has been admitted to Shija Hospitals, Langol in serious condition following an unfortunate accident.
Rinku was seriously injured when he accidentally fell from the stairs of his residential building at Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai in Imphal West district around 10:30 pm on May 25 .
After he was admitted to RIMS for treatment, he was referred to Shija Hospital where he is now under medical observation in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
On Tuesday, Thangmeiband constituency MLA Kh Joykishan visited Shija Hospital to meet Rinku.
The MLA gave Rs 10,000 to his family.
Leaders of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Manipur unit also visited Shija Hospital in the afternoon to know the condition of Rinku.
The BJYM team led by its president O Malesh too extended some financial assistance to his family.
Meanwhile, All Manipur Working Journalists' Union has expressed gratitude to all individuals who have extended financial support for the treatment of Rinku.
According to a statement issued by Vice President of AMWJU Ratan Luwangcha, on hearing the news of his injury, Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Th.Lokeshwar Singh, Minister Agriculture Md.Nasir, Parliamentary Secy.
Md.Amin Shah, MLA K.Ranjit Singh, and MLA N.Biren visited the Sija Hospital and wished for his early recovery.
Speaker Th.Lokeshwar Singh and Minister Minister AK Mirabai donated Rs.50,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively for the treatment, while Minister Md.Nasir presented Rs.50,000 from the fund of Alhaj Maulana Abdul Jallal Memorial charitable Trust.
MLAs Md.Amin Shah, K.Ranjit Singh, Kh.
Joykishan and N.Biren also donated Rs.10,000 each wishing early recovery of the editor, while AIR News Editor A Ibomcha Sharma donated Rs 5000, Technical Mission Director HMNE Kh.
Ratan Singh and Addl.
Chief Enginner CADA K.Manoranjan Singh extended Rs.5000 through AMWJU, for which the Union extended gratefulness to the donors.
Appreciating the MD of Sija Hospital Dr.Kh.
Palin and his staff for their care and cooperation during the treatment, the AMJWU appeals to all noble individuals of the state to extend valuable support for his further treatment.
Furthermore, AMWJU has extended gratitude to its members who donated 8 units of blood for the treatment of Rinku.
