Students are backbone of society: MLA Kebi

Naoriya Pakhanglakpa MLA Soraisham Kebi has said that students are backbone of a society and it cannot develop without a sound and concrete backbone.
Soraisham Kebi stated this while speaking as chief guest of a felicitation ceremony of meritorious students of Trinity Public School, Mongsangei held on Saturday.
Kebi stated that guiding the students to the right path is required to make a society solid while stressed that the role of parents and teachers are important in leading students to the right path and students must also work hard.
Expressing happiness on learning that 13 students from Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC secured positions in class X and XII examinations conducted by state board and council this year, MLA Kebi said that the light of education has fully lit in the AC and collective efforts of both parents and teachers are required to bring more achievements in future.
Trinity Public School student Yumnam Arpana, who secured 22nd position in HSLC exam conducted by BSEM, was handed Rs 50,000 by school management board and Rs 10,000 by MLA Kebi at the event.
On the other hand, United Club IMC Ward No 4, Uripok felicitated meritorious students living under the jurisdiction of IMC Ward No 4 during an event held at Singjubung Youth Organisation Club on Saturday.
The felicitation event was attended by Uripok MLA Khwairakpam Raghumani Singh, Club chairman Kh Tarunkumar, SYO vice president Chongtham Ibohal, UAL president Soram Tikendrajit, UNAL president Potsangbam Joyshri and IMC former corporator Laishram Arengkumar as presidium members.
