Residential skill development training programme concludes

The valedictory function of five-day residential skill development training on fruit processing and value addition was held yesterday at the training hall of Diocesan Social Service Society (DSSS), Mantripukhri.
The training programme was organised by Diocesan Social Service Society (DSSS) in collaboration with Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA), Horticulture and Soil Conservation Department and Agriculture Department under the aegis of Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North East Region (MOVCD-NER) .
The valedictory function was attended by DSSS Director, Reverend Father Biju Luckose; proprietor of Meira Foods, Shubhra Devi Hanjabam; MOVCD-NER project officer, Kh Nimaichand; MOMA project officer, Donald Soubam and Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission, State Mission Manager, Jim Ronglo as the presidium members.
Speaking at the occasion, Donald Soubam maintained that MOMA aims at enhancing the income of Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) under the aegis of MOVCD-NER.
He maintained that MOMA provides support to FPCs in the production of value added products and in research and development.
