13th AMFA Senior Women's League : ESU post slender 1-0 win over UPSA for fourth win, YWC-L blank YWC-Th 5-0

ESU, Wangkhei cruised to fourth straight victory to extend unbeaten run to five matches in the 13th AMFA Senior Women's with a 1-0 win over UPSA, Pukhao today at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
The only goal that earned ESU all three points and ended the three game unbeaten run of the Pukhao side today was scored by Vunglawmching in the 45th minute.
It was the fourth successive win for ESU having the opening game with KRYPHSA, Naoremthong settled in a goalless stalemate.
With the result, ESU have consolidated themselves on top of the table comfortably with 13 points from five matches.
Earlier in the day, YWC-Langthabal trounced YWC-Thambalkhong 5-0 to open their winning account as substitutes pumped in three goals.
Remi Thokchom and substitute Toijam Thoibisana starred in this big win for the Langthabal team with doubles while another substitute Heigrujam Daya netted one.
YWC-Langthabal, who have registered two draws in the two of two previous matches, were in driver's seat from the beginning and despite YWC-Th's resolute defending, Remi opened the account in the 29th minute before Toijam Thoibisana who came off the bench to replace Lourembam Menaka in the 27th minute doubled the lead in the 39th minute.
After taking a commanding 2-0 first half lead, YWC kept their momentum intact creating a series of chances and it was substitute H Daya who ruffled YWC-Th net with a brilliant finish in the 56th minute to make it 3-0 .
Despite the huge lead, they kept pressing their Thambalkhong rivals and found the fourth through T Thoibisana in the 59th minute before Remi Thokchom rose again to complete her double in the 67th minute and gave YWC-L an unassailable 5-0 lead.
