Ccpur Public Information Campaign concludes

Three-day long Public Information Campaign (PIC) on flagship programmes of the Central Government which commenced from September 24 at the Community Hall of B.Vengnuom village, Churachandpur District concluded today.
The valedictory function was graced by Shri Langkhanpau Guite, chairman of ADC Churachandpur, Shri Ngamhao Touthang, Member of ADC, Churachandpur, Shri Thangkhohao Haokip, secretary of Village Authority of B.Vengnuom as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
Addressing the valedictory function, Langkhanpau Guite said that PIC was very important as it made the people aware of various flagship programmes of the Central Government implementing in the state.
In his presidential speech, Churachandpur ADC member Shri Ngamhao Touthang said that the public may not be aware of PIB but it is a very important department of government of India.
PIB is a nodal agency that linked up government and the public so far as implementation of the flagship programmes of the Central government is concerned.
Village Authority secretary Thangkhohao Haokip expressed his appreciation to the organisers for spreading the awareness to the villagers about the flagship programmes of Central government.
Earlier, a public rally participated by the villagers and students of a school in the village was marched on the village road.
The main highlight of the campaign was creation of awareness among the public on central sponsored schemes like National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Universal Mid Day Meal, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), Rural Drinking Water Supply, Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan, Rural Housing (Indira Awaj Yojna), Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), Pension Scheme, Rural Electrification, Rural Technology and PM Jan Dhan Yojna.
The three-day Public Information Campaign was sponsored by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India and organised by PIB Imphal in collaboration with AIR, DDK, Directorate of Field Publicity (DFP), Song & Drama Division (S&DD), Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP), District Administration, Churachandpur, different departments of Government of Manipur, Government of India in Churachandpur district, District NYK, Churachandpur.
A free medical camp was also held on the second day of the campaign.
