Thoubal, September 26 2014 :
Acting on an information provided by members of Green Revolutionary Society (GRS), PFA rescued 6 venomous common cobra from an old unused septic tank in an unused building of Thoubal Deputy Commissioner Complex today.
GRS came across the reptiles while cutting grass inside the DC complex today.
PFA immediately rushed to the spot and rescued 6 cobras from inside an unused 7 feet deep septic tank.

The snakes are opined to have entered the tank through the outlet pipe attached to the tank.
There were no exits for the snake once they entered and they would have starved to death had not they been rescued.
Members of GRS and security personnel who arrived at the DC complex for the visit of Deputy CM Gaikhangam helped PFA in the rescue.
The snakes were later relocated at a suitable site.
