Chandel District vigilance to stage sit in protest on Sept 29

Chandel, September 26 2014 :
With the former Manipur Governor VK Duggal announcing the sanction of 13 crore for restoration and repairing the newly upgraded NH 102C (Pallel- Chandel road) by March 2015, the people of Chandel are eagerly awaiting restoration and repairing of the said highway to ease the untold miseries and sufferings facing the people.
In this connection, the Chandel Naga People's Organization has expressed hope that the work is getting started soon and completed as per schedule, while seeking the authority to expedite the process and formalities of the work.
The president of the CNPO Ws Kanral Anal was briefing media while narrating the grievances faced by the people in this regard.
He said that the road in rainy season is flooded and dusty during the dry seasons which make the people prone to suffer from diseases.
Making his fervent appeal, the public leader expressed hoped that all formalities including tender of the work be initiated so as to start the work from next month.
In another development, the Chandel District Vigilance Committee in a statement has announced to stage a sit-in protest at the district head quarter on Monday (September 29) in collaboration with BJP Chandel district.
Disclosing this to media DVC President BD Betha informed that the grievance of the people would be apprised to the PM of India in a memorandum seeking his intervention.
In this regard, the president appeals the public, all CSOs to participate in the mass sit-in protest.
