Cobras rescued

People for Animals (PFA) rescued six venomous Common Cobra from a septic tank, following information from members of Green Revolutionary Society (GRS) that some snake were seen inside an old unused septic tank in a building at Thoubal Deputy Commissioner Complex.
According to a PFA release, the 7 feet deep tank in which the snakes were residing was dark, and the entry and exit were through a small opening on the top.
The snakes might have entered the tank through the outlet pipe attached to the tank.
Members of GRS and security personnel who arrived at DC complex for the visit of Dy-Chief Minister, Gaikhangam today helped PFA in the rescue.
Later the snakes were relocated at a suitable site today.
