World Pharmacist Day observed

As part of its global observance, the World Pharmacist Day was observed jointly by Unemployed Pharmacist Association of Manipur and Pharmacy Department, Government Polytechnic at the auditorium of the polytechnic here yesterday.
The observance function was attended by Amin Shah, Parliamentary Secretary (MOBC/Science & Technology); W Homendro Singh, HOD, Department of Electrical, Government Polytechnic and Dr Karam Lokendro, Additional Director of Medical Directorate as Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honor respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Amin Shah stated that the profession of pharmacist has been gaining recognition with the development of health sector and mentioned that sincerity is needed in the profession as pharmacists dealt with all kind of life saving drugs which are much required.
He exhorted the pharmacist students to regard the profession seriously and serve the people wholeheartedly.
The World Pharmacist Day was also observed by Manipur State Pharmacy Council, Medical Directorate at the conference hall of R & D Wing, Lamphelpat with S Manikanta, Additional Director of Medical Directorate; RK Basumani, vice-president of Manipur State Pharmacy Council and A Manimacha, Manipur State Pharmacy Council attending as the Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honor respectively.
