StartUp beneficiary Addble wins NABARD-ONDC Grand Hackathon

Imphal-based tech start up, Addble Solutions Pvt Ltd, a beneficiary of StartUp Manipur, has won NABARD-ONDC Grand Hackathon's Agri Grant Integration Challenge 1, jointly conducted by NABARD and Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) with the objective of enabling e commerce in the agriculture sector.
A two-member engineering team comprising Yaikhomba Ningthemcha and Mig Rajkumar from Addble participated virtually in the hackathon competed by more than 300 organisations from across the country.
The hackathon lasted for 96 hours to complete the Integration Challenge 1, which was 'to execute a complete transaction, where a farmer is able to place an order for farm inputs from a producer, resulting in order confirmation' .
"It was a proud moment for us.
Our team managed to complete the implementation meeting all requirements set out in the challenge and successfully demonstrated an end-to-end transaction involving Addble's proprietary Cloud-based retail SaaS platform and other 3rd party apps on the ONDC network", Addble's founder and director Yaikhomba said.
The win in this all lndia challenge by the company is also a testament of the talent and spirit of entrepreneurship that is present in the state, he added.
ONDC is the Government of India's drive to democratise & revolutionise e-commerce and make it accessible to everyone and it is targeting to add 100+ cities into the network by the year end with a goal to bring onboard 20 lakh businesses and 25 crores plus consumers in next five years.
The 'NABARD-ONDC Hackathon' aims at enabling e-commerce for FPOs (Farm & Off-farm) and SHGs in the long run.
It comprised two categories of challenges - Agri Grant Challenge, which aimed to enable existing e-commerce players in the agriculture domain with ONDC protocols and establish market linkages for the enabled players with market ready Farmers Producers Organisations (FPOs) in the country.
The second part was the Agri Innovation Hackathon, through which ONDC and NABARD aim to promote development of innovative solutions that are likely to aid adoption of e-commerce in the agriculture domain.
The results were announced on July 12, the foundation day of NABARD.
