In order to develop the country, one must develop the scientific and technological aspects of the Nation and only then can Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru's 'Modern India' vision take shape, he said.
He said, "More than 833 million of the total population of India live in the villages and out of this around 300 millions fall under the poverty line.
The technological race and urbanisation have brought many changes to the society and by 2050, more than half of India's population will be living in the cities".
To bring development, one must stop thinking only for villages or cities and work towards bringing development to the whole society, he added.
