PRJA meets Ukhrul people

Imphal, December 20 2016:
PRJA convenor Erendro Leichombam, co-convenor Irom Chanu Sharmila and treasurer Najima Bibi visited the 300 people bound for Ukhrul who are stranded at Eagle High school in Nagaram, Chingmeirong.
The convenor of PRJA stated that the people were on their way back home to celebrate Christmas and to attend functions and remarked that it is the weak who suffer the most whenever the powerful engage in power play.
In a statement PRJA assured that all assistance will be extended to the stranded people.
Co-convenor Irom Sharmila thanked the people of Nagaram for providing shelter to the citizens and mentioned that she had taken shelter in Nagaram after she was released from JNIMS following the end of her 16 years old hunger strike.
PRJA leaders also travelled to Lamlai and attended a meeting titled "Goodwill mission for peaceful coexistence".
The mission aimed to initiate a people-to-people dialogue for peace and harmony in Manipur.
