Imphal, June 04 2022:
Langthabal AC MLA Karam Shyam has remarked that when there is maximum awareness of the various welfare schemes and their delivery to the people hits 100 per cent, there will nothing left to worry about at the time of elections.
The BJP MLA was speaking on the sidelines of an interaction between media persons and both former and sitting BJP MLAs of Imphal West District, organised as part of the 8th anniversary celebration of PM Narendra Modi's government, by BJP Imphal West District at the party's office, Gharl Awang Leikai here on Saturday.
Shyam said that around 245 schemes have been introduced by the central government of which 180 have been implemented.
For Imphal West, all MLAs will cooperate with another on party related activities.
He then said that to bring changes to the political scenario of Manipur, the most important thing is to ensure the well-being of the people instead of being reminded of the people only during election period.
Stressing that it is the responsibility of party workers to help the vulnerable sections of the society, the MLA urged for spreading maximum awareness about the schemes amongst the masses and ensuring 100 percent delivery.
When these schemes are implemented right from the grassroots level, it will help in the development of the state.
Thus, all district units must take up the responsibility in this regard, he contended, while adding that the changes India has undergone in the last 8 years have been applauded by the world.
He continued: "Manipur's development is also dependent upon the leaders.
Thus, there is a need for strong cooperation among the party members for the good of both the party and the state" .
