Two new Covid-19 cases detected

Imphal, December 14 2022:
After a gap of five days, the state on Wednesday reported two new cases of Covid-19 out of 55 samples tested in the last 24 hours with positivity rate of 3.6 per cent.
Following the detection of two new cases and no recovery on Wednesday, the number of active cases rose to 3 .
The two fresh cases are female residents of Imphal West and Thoubal districts.
Out of the three active cases, two are in home isolation.
No death case was reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2149 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus has infected 1,39,922 individuals including 5,022 CAPF personnel.
In the last 24 hours, 163 vaccine doses were administered and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 16,48,593, out of which 13,37,408 had received the second dose and 2,79,086 taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49851), Imphal East (32066), Thoubal (10300), Churachandpur (11294), Kangpokpi (3188), Tamenglong (3497), Bishnupur (9987), Senapati (2548), Ukhrul (3372), Kakching (6982), Chandel (2797), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1214), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1058), and Pherzawl (477) .
