One-day discussion held on Asian Highway and Trans Asian Railway

A one-day discussion on the possible impact of the construction and operation of Asian Highway and Trans Asian Railway was held at Lakhipur, Cachar, Assam.
The discussion was jointly organized by Barak Valley Meitei Convention, Lakhipur and Advance Research Custodian, Kakching, Manipur at Lakhipur Municipality Conference Hall.
Th Bishwanath Singh, member of Barak Valley Meitei Convention delivered the keynote address on the occasion.
Resource persons Th Dishakor, Retired Principal, DM College, Imphal and Sarangthem Dilip Kumar, Associate Professor, Moreh College spoke on Asian Highway and Trans Asian Railway and their implications for the Northeast region.
The one day discussion attended by Oinam Nilakanta Singh, Advisor, Senior Citizen Forum, Lakhipur; Y Sarat Chandra, Advosor, Barak Valley Meitei Convention; Md.Abdul Bahar Khan, President, Manipuri Muslim Development Association, Cachar; O Churamani, Retired Principal, GC College, Silchar; L.Manidon, President, Senoir Citizen Forum, Lakhipur, Cachar, Assam; Md.Abdul Nur Choudhary, General Secretary, Manipuri Muslim Development Association, Banaskandi graced the programme as Chief Guest, President and Guests of Honour respectively.
