Khemchand reviews law and order situation

Imphal, September 18 2026:
Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh chaired a security coordination meeting and reviewed the present law and order situation in the State.
The meeting held in the Cabinet Hall of the Chief Minister's Secretariat on Thursday deliberated on initiating strong security measures to maintain law and order in the State.
The meeting also discussed at length on how to deploy security personnel in vulnerable areas.
On development of infrastructure and other development works, the Chief Minister assured that the Government will provide all necessary security support to speed up projects, if required.

Security agencies were instructed to see that the ongoing infrastructure development works are not hindered and adequate security is provided.
The meeting was attended by Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam; Security Advisor Kuldiep Singh; Chief Secretary Rajeev Singh Thakur; DGP Mukesh Singh; Commissioner (Home) N Ashok Kumar; Inspector General, Assam Rifles (South), Major General Gaurav Sharma; Inspector General, Assam Rifles (East), Major General Inderjit Singh Bhinder; Inspector General, CRPF, Homkar Amol Vinukant and other officials of different security agencies.
