Free heart camp organised for officers, personnel of 7th Manipur Rifles

Imphal, February 20 2023: The 7th Manipur Rifle, Khabeisoi in collaboration with the Imphal Heart Institute Sagolband Moirang Leirak organised a one-day free heart camp at the 7th Manipur Rifle Indoor Hall today.

The free heart camp was conducted for the officers and personnel of 7th Manipur Rifle to ensure their good mental and physical health so that they may deliver their best service to the Nation and State.

About 150 officers and personnel of 7th Manipur Rifle and civilians were given free heart check up and medicine during the camp.

Speaking to the media persons, W Basu, Commandant 7th Manipur Rifle stated that such medical camps were organised every month by coordinating with various doctors and concerned authorities.

"So far four free health camps have been organized by the 7th Manipur Rifle since August last year and in the said health camp civilians also received free health checks", he said.

He further shared that fortnight health talk programs have been introduced at the battalion headquarters by the Unit doctors wherein topics like diabetes, hypertension, Hepatitis and others are discussed.

He added that eleven such fortnight health talk programs have been conducted so far.

Aside from this, a Welfare Recreation Centre was also opened on September 30, 2022 where the personnel of the battalion were allowed to read and borrow books for themselves and their children, he further added.
