Two houses gutted in wild fire

Imphal, March 30 2014:
Two houses have been gutted at K Zalenmoul village under Moreh Police Station in Chandel district when wild fire from nearby forest spread at around 1.45 pm today.
K Zalenmoul village is located to the west of Moreh police station along the roadside of National Highway 39 .
The gutted houses belonged to Ngamjang Haokip and Thangkhohao Haokip respectively.
The two house owners as well as their family members were not at home at the time of the fire incident.
President of Hill Tribal Council, Moreh Jangmang Haokip and President of Kuki Chiefs' Association, Moreh Block Jamkholen Mate, who have visited to inspect the damage caused in the fire have drawn the attention of Local MLA D Korungthang and the Chairman of ADC Chandel Seisei Zou for attending necessary assistance to the fire victims.
