Shop partially burnt in Tamenglong bazar

Tamenglong, March 05 2011:
A shop in the heart of Tamenglong bazar was partially burnt by a fire that broke out this morning.
The fire brigade and locals doused the fire which stopped traffic for atleast half an hour.
The fire broke out from the store room of one Paona Newmei (65) around 10.15 am today, the cause of the fire has not be determined but there was no power supply when the fire broke out.
The shop owner believed that the fire may have been caused by sparks of the Trans cable network amplifier.
Dry wood, clothes and stationery items helped the fire to spread easily.
Two of the four rooms of the house were partially burned.
Police and 11 AR teams also arrived at the spot.
The police have filed an FIR No.3 (III) under IPC 43 section.
Talking to this reporter the shop's proprietor said that due to lack of power supply Trans Cable Network was not operational during the time the fire broke out.
The shop keeper claimed that at least ' 13 lakh worth of property was lost in the fire.
The store was full of second hand clothes and stationery items.
