Four houses gutted in interior Churachandpur

Imphal, March 05 2011:
Four houses in Tuisuolien village under Tipaimukh sub-division in Churachandpur district were completely gutted by a fire at around 10.30 am on Tuesday, March 1, a delayed report reaching here said.
In addition to these, six houses were partially burnt in this remote village of Manipur.
There was, fortunately, no casualties or injuries.
The exact cause of the fire could not be ascertained but it is believed to be the result of carelessness by children who were playing with a fire, the report said.
On Wednesday, the entire village and people from other villages joined to lend a helping hand to the affected people.
Temporary shelters were built for the four families.
The four families whose houses were burnt down were identified as Lalnghaklien's family (seven members), Upa Vanlalruoi's family (seven members), Laldawmlien's family (six members) and Lalrolien's family (12 members) .
The partially affected families are those of Darrolut's (seven members), Lalmankung's (seven members), Lalhminglien's( five members), Lalthlanglien's (six members), Zawlsum's (eight members) and that of Pro-Pastor Laldinglien.
So, far there has been no official word from the district and state authorities on relief for the affected people.
