Fake TET certificates unmasked

In one of the most embarrassing instances of demoralizing the educational profession, as many as seven of the newly selected teachers for Jiribam Sub-division have been found to have possessed fake TET (Teachers Eligibility Test) certificates, according to reports from the students organisations of Jiribam namely AMSU, District Committee of Jiribam, DESAM Local Council and KSA Jiribam.
The names of the alleged candidates as revealed to the media by members of student bodies at a press conference held at the office chamber of AMSU, District Committee, Jiribam are Laishram Radharani Devi, Laishram Uttam Kr Singh, Chinganbam Bidyarani Devi, Subhra Roy N/S, Laishram SantaKumari, Kimtinlhing and G.Akhangmei.
During screening by the student's bodies, the seven selected teachers were found to use fake documents in applying for the contractual posts.
Saying that teachers are the builders of students life, the student bodies said that use of fake documents by them is an indicator of demoralizing the educational system of Jiribam Sub-division.
They charged the concerned DPC committee with inadequacy to find out the fake documents at the time of verification of the document.
Meanwhile the student's bodies also appealed to the concerned authorities for re-verification of the documents, as there are also non- residential candidates of Jiribam in the selection list of the graduate and lecture posts.
