Aggrieved students to boycott CBSE examinations

Imphal, February 24 2015:
A newly formed body of the students, who have not received their admit cards for the ensuing CBSE Class-X and XII examinations, has threatened to boycott Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations in the State if the responsible authorities fail to initiate necessary action for allowing them appear the examinations.

Talking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here on Tuesday, President of the newly formed students' body Jital Khuraijam said that the aggrieved parents and students of Ramkrishna Higher Secondary School, Akash Higher Secondary School, Akash Institute of Science and Arts and Central Institute of Science convened a meeting and formed the body called "Joint Students' Committee for Justice" .
The meeting further resolved to urge the State Government to take up necessary action within two days to allow the students appear the examinations.
It was also resolved to intimate the regional office of CBSE to put on hold all activities related to the ensuing Class-X and XII examinations, he said.
Jital also maintained that the students' body would send representations to the Prime Minister and Governor of Manipur on the issue and urge them to punish the culprits who are trying to destroy their academic career.
